KLINA. Last weekend, Orthodox Christians celebrated Pentecost. So also in Kosovo and Metohija. In the village of Petri\u010d, near the city Klina, it came to renewed tensions on Monday.<\/span> As the media portal Kossev.info reports<\/a>, up to 60 people with more than 50 vehicles blocked the road, thus preventing former Serbian residents from entering the Church of the Holy Trinity.<\/span> However, following the dissolution of the blockade by the police, the attackers returned and surrounded those, displaced in the war people, at the ruin of the church, where they insulted and pelted them with stones.<\/span> At around 14:00, the former residents left the scene under police protection.<\/span> Especially on religious holidays, former war refugees return to their home villages, and provocations regularly occur.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A reporter from Radio Gora\u017edevac described the scenery: \u201eIn the village of Petri\u010d, the path at the entrance to the church is currently blocked. Albanians crossing the Pe\u0107-Pristina highway are in the car and join the protest. For security reasons, we can not get closer now. Only about 200 meters away – where the church was – are the flags of Albania and Kosovo, a few tractors and a few cars that block the way to the entrance of the church.<\/span> A few people from Petrovac and Drenic watch what happens.<\/span> For now, Kosovo police and OSCE are on the ground, we see a few UN jeeps.\u201c

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Petri\u010d<\/a>, in the municipality of Pe\u0107, was built in 1992 as a gift from the Kari\u0107 family. Shortly after the arrival of Italian KFOR troops, the church was looted in June 1999 and completely destroyed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Also in the village Suvi Do, in the north of Kosovska Mitrovica, there were again incidents. According to a report of the informer<\/a> here several times in quick succession the hospital was stoned, windows were broken. Also at least one ambulance was affected by the attacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Milan Ivanovi\u0107, Director of the Health Center in Kosovska Mitrovica, commented on the events: \u201e24 hours after the Serbian health center attack, our clinic in the village of Suvi Do is being attacked again and more than ten times before.\u201c<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He added that the Albanians show that they do not want to coexist with the Serbs and do everything possible to prevent the realization of basic human rights, such as the right to life, that is, the medication of patients.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
